It's time to gear up and get your walking shoes ready for this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's events. Genworth is proud to once again participate as a Platinum National Team and we are asking you to show your "Heart" and represent our commitment to a world without Alzheimer's by first registering, then forming teams and raising funds for this worthwhile cause.
Why We Walk: Most of us in our Long Term Care business well understand the impact of Alzheimer's disease on our clients and prospects. Indeed, 46% of Genworth's total claims in payment, and 50% of all claims dollars, are due to dementia, including Alzheimer's.1 And, in a study conducted by Age Wave for Genworth, 61% of respondents ranked having Alzheimer's disease as their single greatest fear among disabling diseases in later life.2
The funds you and your team raise will help fight Alzheimer's disease through vital research, advocacy efforts and essential support programs and services in the community. Your team donations will play an important role in improving the lives of people living with Alzheimer's, their families and caregivers.
