Friends and family, here I am again. it is now 2024. I am now 66 years old. Still going strong and plan on staying that way. But I am here to remind you that Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither am I. The house you see in this photo was my moms from the 1940's to 2014. She loved this house. She never forgot about it. She spoke about it until the very end. I think I will too. It was the house that built me.
She enjoyed living at Santa Teresita Hospital, Duarte , for a few years until God decided that He needed her in heaven in January of 2017. She went gladly with Him and is now listening to big band music, polishing her nails and enjoying a cup of coffee every day above the clouds.
By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you all so much!
