My grandmother suffered from Alzheimer's and dementia for many years. I grew up watching my mom take care of me and my grandmother as a single parent. The rest of my family didn't believe there was anything wrong for years. For most of my childhood, my grandmother would have episodes of violent anger due to her Alzheimer's, and I didn't understand it until I got older. I watched my mom take care of me and my grandmother by herself for so long before she got some help from her oldest brother. I wish no child has to witness their family member go through that or for anyone to go the last of their lives, not knowing who their family is, who they are, were there at. It is hereditary, and there is a high probability my mother and uncle may end up with it, including myself. It scary to think about. The fund the Alzheimer's Foundation has raised has made huge progress over the last few years. A drug recently was developed to help slow down the progress of Alzheimer's! I truly believe we are close to finding a cure! I am forever grateful if you could help in any way.
