I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2023 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's™, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support. As a 9 year caregiver for my wife Joanne I know first hand the pain and sorrow of those with and related to Alzheimer's patients. I do these walks in her memory and honor.
Currently, more than 5.8 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Through the efforts of the Alzheimer's Association and our walkers and advocates over the years congress has gradually increased he amount of money for research into this deadly disease, reaching the level of over $2 billion dollars. While knowledge and progress has been made Alzheimer's is still the only one of the major diseases for which there is not good treatment and no cure. Please help resolve this situation by making a donation or forming your own team and joining a walk near you.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
