I was introduced to the Alzheimer’s Association in 2009 and participated in my first activity (Run to Remember) in 2010. At the time my mother (Jean - on the left) was living with vascular dementia and my focus was supporting efforts to find a cure.
Since that initial run, my involvement has expanded over the years. I now lead BAYADA's partnership with the Alzheimer's Association, co-captain of our national walk team, participate in multiple walks/runs and hold the position of vice chair for the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter Community Leadership Board.
Today, my mother-in-law (Barbara - on the right) is living with advanced dementia and my focus has expanded to include advocacy for patients, access to care and caregiver support..
This is why I walk (and run)!
Please consider making a donation or registering as a participant to start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you!
