Franklin County School System for 28 plus years. She was striving to reach the year for retirement so she and her husband could relax and enjoy life. We are not quite sure what all transpired but she was under of stress and depression which led doctors at Ochsner's in New Orleans, LA to label her with vascular dementia.
They theorize that at some point she had a mild stroke of some sort that may have contributed to this happening to her. We have watched her go through many stages with this disease and that is why we try and support this cause so much. Sadly, she succumbed to this horrible ailment and left us on October 14, 2023.So now this walk is very important to us and more personal.
In hopes that one day in the near future Dementia/Alzheimer's will no longer exist. Please join us in the cause by making a small donation in her name to the organization.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
