Pat was diagnosed in November 2021. At that time the FDA had just released Aduhelm, the first drug shown to slow disease progression. Pat received 21 monthly infusions of Aduhelm and then transitioned to the newer drug Leqembi. He receives a Leqembi infusion every 2 weeks. He is one of the first people in the entire Rocky Mountain region to use these brand new therapies! His neurologist says he is “THE CUTTING EDGE of SCIENCE. EVERYTHING WE LEARN FROM YOU WILL BENEFIT ALL THOSE COMING BEHIND YOU!”
These treatments HAVE slowed his disease progression, and he has even REGAINED some of what Alzheimer’s disease has taken away! These advances provide hope not only for us, but for the 6 MILLION Americans currently living with Alzheimer’s disease, and the 11 MILLION family and friends that provide their unpaid essential care.
These new treatments and support efforts are ONLY possible because we all have generously donated to the Alzheimer’s Association through the years! THANK YOU!
We still need your help! We ask for your continuing support UNTIL A CURE IS FOUND!
This time it is PERSONAL!
Please consider DONATING or JOINING OUR TEAM and walking with us on SEPTEMBER 21st.
With deep gratitude,
Ruth
