Hi family and friends!
Did you know that every 65 seconds someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s?
Did you know that two-thirds of everyone with Alzheimer’s are women?
It would take 43 football stadiums to make a seat for every woman who has Alzheimer’s in the United States alone.
Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.
Alzheimer’s is the only cause of death in the top 10 in America that can not be cured, slowed, or prevented.
I have participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s with my sorority, Sigma Kappa, at Clemson University for the past two years. In September, I will take part in my third Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Anderson, SC. We are raising money to help fund research, care, and support for patients who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and the families who have been affected. Right now, there are approximately 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s and more than 16 million people who are caregivers to those with this life changing disease.
For the past several years, our sorority has been the LARGEST fundraiser in the STATE. Last year, we raised approximately $30,000 as a chapter. This year, we are trying to surpass our previous amount in order to continue making a difference.
The 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Anderson, SC will take place on September 22nd.
I am asking for a little help in order to reach my fundraising goal.
$1 helps. $5 helps. Anything helps.
If you have any further questions about our chapter, our philanthropy, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, or anything else, please feel free to reach out to me at any time.
Thank you so much in advance!!!!!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
