I'm walking for Mike, my husband of 38+ years. We've had a lot of fun during those years raising our 3 daughters, watching them grow up, get married, have children. I couldn't have found a better partner, and he was a wonderful father and grandfather.
But now we are into harder times.
As Mike deals with early-onset Alzheimer's, we are again participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. His Mom, 2 aunts, an uncle and their father were all victims of Alzheimer's. I hope to contribute in whatever way I can to find a way to stop this disease before it hits my daughters and my grandchildren.
Mike stopped working in 2016 and is home full-time. He continues on a slow decline. Even though he sometimes doesn't remember that he has children, or that we are married, or that this place where we live has been our home for 36 years, we have many days when we talk about everything we do have and how blessed we are.
Donations to help in the fight against this horrible disease and to help me meet my goal are much appreciated. Prayers are also appreciated.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
