In the fall of 2016 I lost both my parents to Alzheimer's, just 18 days apart. I feel I did not get to say goodbye to my mom or dad because I had already lost them before their deaths. I did not get to talk to mom about life without her. I did not get to say a final “I love you” and know that she understood. But I know that in those eyes that sometimes looked so blank was the mother & best friend I loved so dearly. And I know that deep inside she was saying, Never forget, Never give up, I Love You and I will be with your always. My mission is to help in every way I can to try and stop this disease and prevent anyone else from going thru having the disease or the pain of losing a loved one to it.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. To stop any friend, child, parent, sibling or spouse from every having to experience the horrible pain of losing the person you love to this disease
The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
Thank you again for your donation and for helping me fight this horrible monster called Alzheimer’s.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
