Photos from 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer's 

If you have downloaded the Walk to End Alzheimer's app on your smartphone, you now have access to mobile check deposit. Take a photo of your check and mobile deposit it towards your efforts. Instant credit! If you want to drop off checks or cash, please make sure that checks are made payable to ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION. Our office is located in Building 5 of the Interstate Corporate Center, 6350 Center Drive, #102, Norfolk 23502. 

You will have until October 22, a full month to keep fundraising towards eligibility in the national incentive program. Incentives are not cumulative. Following the deadline, you will receive an email or offline kit with directions on how to redeem your incentive prize. Only one code per participant. Therefore, if you registered multiple people with the same email, you will need to log in and change or update it in order to participate in the program. Have additional questions? Email your staff partner at jchavez@alz.org.  

If you took tickets to sell for fundraising credit, you have until October 27 to sell. That is the last day per our gaming commission permit. ALL stubs, monies and unsold tickets are property of the Alzheimer's Association and must be turned in. Mail or call us to arrange drop off of supply. Live drawing will be held on November 14 on the Hampton Roads Show. Winner is responsible for all taxes, title and fees associated with the car raffle.  

Join us at the post Walk wrap up event on November 15 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Virginia Beach, at 6 PM. RSVP YES to Jackie by November 7 to 757-459-4211. We will be celebrating our successes, top teams, top individuals and other superlative awards! 

Do you have ideas on how to elevate the walker experience? Do you have connections in the community you want to share with us to increase outreach and participation? Then we need YOU! Volunteer committee members meet monthly to strategize and work year-round to increase participation in Walk through education, marketing, and onboarding. Training begins in February 2019. Call Jenn at 757-459-2405 x. 9407 or email her, jchavez@alz.org. Better yet, come to the Post Walk Wrap Up. Current members will be onsite to answer questions you may have.
