FEB 15- COVA WALK PLANNING COMMITTEE INTRO- Interested in getting involved and giving back with some time and talent? We need people like you to meet our goals- Together, we will have greater impact and greater reach! Learn more about the Walk planning committee. You will meet others just like you who are passionate fundraisers and invested in creating awareness in the community! RSVP to Jenn at jchavez@alz.org by Monday, Feb 12. Food and refreshments provided.

FEB 23- POTATO BAR FUNDRAISER- Meet us at the Memory Center for a baked potato with all the fixings and a drink for $5! RSVP to Kat at 757-412-1180. 100% proceeds benefit their Walk team.

APRIL 6/MAY 4/JUNE 1/JULY 6/ AUG 3- TEAM CAPTAIN COFFEE DAYS - Held on the first Friday of each month, join us to share a cup of coffee (and pastry) and discover ways to utilize your participant center and how to access online tools and resources. Explore creative ways to fundraise at work and in your community. Share and collaborate with others just like you. You can also pick up Walk supplies, ask questions, drop off money...The skies the limit!

AUGUST 6, 13, 20 & 27- BUY A STEAK NIGHT- Mark your calendars to BUY A STEAK at Baker's Crust in August on Mondays (8/6, 8/13, 8/20, and 8/27). $7 gets you cauliflower mashers and a delicious 8 oz steak filet. Proceeds benefit the Walk. All locations in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg, 4-10 pm. No reservation required. Baker's Crust 

AUGUST 22- COVA BANK DAY- Bank your bucks! Bring in your offline donations to us so that credit can be applied online BEFORE Walk day. This is also the last day for High-Steppers Champions Club team benchmarks. To be eligible for benefits, offline donations must be posted or brought to our office by this day. No exceptions.

SEPTEMBER 18- EARLY BIRD CHECK-IN SWAG PICK UP- Did you raise $100 to earn your 2018 Walk tee? Did you raise $500 or more to become a member of the Champions Club? Don't want to stand in line on Walk day? Mark your calendar and come to the chapter office and pick up your Walk swag! Teams who hit fundraising and recruitment benchmarks through our NEW High-Steppers Champions Club in August are also encouraged to pick up their team's swag!

OCTOBER 22- INCENTIVE PROGRAM FUNDRAISING DEADLINE- This is the last day you have to get your donations online and participate in the national incentive program. Participants who raise a minimum $300 by this date are eligible for additional incentives which will be sent to you via mail. Offline donations of checks and cash must reach our office by Oct 1 to be processed and credit applied online so that you can reach your fundraising goals ahead of the deadline. Questions? NOVEMBER 15- POST WALK CELEBRATION PARTY- Let's celebrate the success of the 2018 season with some good food, good drink and of course, awards! This is open to all participants, sponsors, volunteers and friends of the Walk. Dress casual.
