Team BUDDY'S BUDDIES!!!
I lost my beloved Daddy, Buddy Donegan, on November 1, 2017 from Alzheimer’s disease. I lost my maternal grandfather to ALZ in 1989. I found out last month my maternal aunt is now suffering this same awful disease.
For those of you who have not suffered through a loved one's struggle with this terrible and debilitating disease, consider yourself very much blessed, as it is a heartless, uncaring and cruel disease that robs the person you love of everything they once were.
A cure for my Daddy did not come in time, but I am doing everything I can to help lead the way to get Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R) this year in Nashville on November 4, 2018. One year and three days since we lost my Daddy.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please go online to alz.org and join my team, Buddy’s Buddies from Nashville, TN, and make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Anything that you can donate, even a dollar, would be so much appreciated. This is a disease that we all potentially face getting as we get older.
For any of you that do not like to donate online, please check out the mail-in donation information on my team page, or feel free to email me at email@example.com or private message me on whatever social media you are currently viewing this message on, and I will be happy to give you the information to mail in a check to my local chapter payable to the Alzheimer's Association.
For those of you that would like to support finding a cure to end Alzheimer's or to walk with me and my friends and family, please take a look at this website: http://act.alz.org/goto/buddysbuddies. Even if you can’t make the Walk on November 4th, please join my team anyway to show your support!!!!
Thank you so very much from me, my family, my friends, and especially for the memory of my Daddy, for joining the fight against Alzheimer's! #ENDALZ
