Betty's Belles, walks in memory of Elizabeth (Betty) Penelli. Betty was a kind, loving, caring, and generous Mother, Grandmom and Great Gram. She loved her family and did everything she could for them. Betty had showed signs of Alzheimer's and was diagnosed in 1986 at the age of 75. Betty had lived with this disease for 15 years and passed away in 2001. We walk, fundraise and try to raise awareness for this disease in the effort to reclaim the future for millions! Together, we can advance research to treat and prevent Alzheimer's, and provide programs and support to improve the lives of millions of affected Americans. We're helping reclaim the future for millions by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
