FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1Do I need to register my kids/grandpa/husband/etc.

They don't have to register, but there will be liability waivers at the Walk that we will need signed with their/your kids names on it.

2) What if it rains on the day of the Walk?

We will hold the event in rain or shine. Only severe storms or lightning will cause us to cancel, in which case there will be a notice sent out via social media and email.

3) Can someone else pick up my T-shirt & registration wristband?

Yes, one person can pick up the materials for an entire team either at Bank Days or registration the morning of the Walk. All you need is the name of the participant(s) or team.

4) What if I can't make it to the Alzheimer's Association office for Bank Days?

You can still get your T-shirt(s) and all important information at registration the morning of the Walk.

5) Where do I park downtown?

We do not have any lots specifically designated for the Walk, but finding parking in one of the many lots near the Civic Center should not be a problem. Carpool, come early, and prepare to have fun!

6) Is there a registration fee?

It is free to register, but we encourage every participant to raise funds for the cause. Raise $100 to earn your official 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer's T-shirt!

6) Is it too late to raise money?

It’s never too late! We will continue to raise money through the end of the year, hoping for every opportunity to END this disease.

8) Can I bring my (non-service) dog?

For liability concerns, we do not encourage it.

9) When do volunteers need to arrive?

Volunteer check-in is 5:30 a.m. just to the south side of the Civic Center Music Hall.

T-SHIRT POLICY

Every registered Walk participant who raises $100 or more will receive an official 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer's T-shirt.

For teams, T-shirts are distributed based on the amount of money they raise, capped by the number of registered participants on the team. For example, a team of 10 that raises $800 would get eight shirts. A team of 10 that raises $1,200 would get 10 shirts.
