Sally's Walk Donation Page
The Fall 2018 “Walk to End Alzheimers” is one short month away.
I am asking for your help to make a difference in the life of someone with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Our team is @30% on the way to meeting our $10,000 goal. Will you consider a donation of $120 or whatever amount you deem appropriate?
As many of you know, my father, Joe ("Old Man Brooks", his preferred nickname) passed away from Alzheimer's disease. His passing will be five years ago on Sept 13- just a few days before the walk at the Voice of America Park in West Chester OH.
As a Geriatrician and previous caregiver, I am a strong supporter of the Alzheimer's Association and I know that while we search for a cure, the caregivers need us NOW.
Any donation you make now through year's end will be attributed to our Walk Team "Old Man Brooks" fundraising efforts. The funds raised provide support for caregiver hotlines, education and caregiver resources.
I'd also like to recruit you (.. and hopefully, you'll recruit others) to join Team "Old Man Brooks”.
To honor his memory AND have a good time, please join us in walking on our team at the Voice of America Park, West Chester, OH on Sat Sept 15. Registration is at 8:30 am and we walk at 10 am. If you cannot walk, kindly help me meet our tram goal of raising $10,000.00 by making a donation of your choosing.
Dad would be humbled by your pledge of support but also, especially grateful.
Dad, all of the caregivers and I sincerely Thank you, Sally
