To my amazing friends and family,
It's that time of year again. The time when summer has just ended, and I await my favorite season of fall. It is also the time, that I start my fundraising pleas to you all, about a personal cause. This has been a particularly challenging year.
Alzheimer's is a terrible disease to witness much less experience for yourself. My father has progressed so significantly in the past 8 months. I am grateful for every day he still recognizes me. Though there are days I can see in his blank eyes, that maybe he doesn't really know me. But when I kiss him and say "hello, Baba" he is reminded.
I did not want this years story to be a sad one detailing how much things have changed for my father. It wouldn't be fair.
But things have changed so much. Not my goal. My goal from now, until the day of my walk, on Sunday, October 21st, is to raise as much as I can.
Because in my lifetime there will be a cure.
Please think about donating to my walk or better yet, join my team, Yiannis Angels. It would mean so much to me. To my father, John Katsogridakis.
Every dollar counts. Because in my lifetime, there WILL be a survivor of Alzheimer's.
I am humbled by any amount you give. And if you can't give, please join my team and do the walk on Sunday, 21st th in Carmel NY. its an easy 5k walk in the great outdoors and the crisp weather and beautiful colors of fall.
Our team grows every year, and I am so grateful to my friends and family who do everything they can, to support this cause.
Please donate your time or your money. I know I can count on you all
