Won’t you join us? Make Dementia a Forgotten Memory is an unusual team. Most teams honor or memorialize one person. The founding members of MDFM are a group of men and women living their best lives in spite of having some form of dementia, along with their caregivers, and caregivers of those who have passed on.
Our team members met at activities offered by the Rockland County Alzheimer’s Association—at support groups, equestrian therapy, music therapy, Memory Café… In appreciation for all that we have gotten from the organization, and because money is desperately needed for research into understanding/treating/preventing Alzheimer’s Disease, we have banded together to raise funds.
Because all people thrive on being useful and needed, all members of the team are working together to achieve our fundraising goals, but we can’t do this alone. WE NEED YOU TO JOIN OUR TEAM. Around a core of those living with a diagnosis of dementia and their caregivers, we need you, our friends and families, to support us by walking with us on Sunday, October 7, at Boulder Stadium in Pomona, NY, or by sitting with those of us unable to walk and cheering for the walkers, or, most of all, by contributing the most you can possibly donate toward the Alzheimer’s Association, with your donation credited to Make Dementia a Forgotten Memory, in honor of, or in memory of those listed below:
