My memory bank is full, and his is becoming empty. Its a heartbreaking situation, as I watch this man become less of who he once was.
My Grandpa, now over 80, lives in a Verterans home, I visit him as often as I can .. But to me, its not enough. I wish I could be there every day.
We have shared so many stories, games, adventures and secrets. Its so hard to come to the realization that those times are over, but not gone. My stories continue and my adventures get shared, just in a different way. I have found ways to make him laugh and smile. When that happens, it absolutely warms my heart!
He is still my world.
Please help, donate, lets find a cure for this terrible disease.
Here is the typical blurb they automatically write for you:
I'm helping reclaim the future for millions by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
