Eleanor's Walk Donation Page
Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. But guess what - so are we! Please join the Wells Fargo & Friends team as we link arms (and feet) to raise awareness and support for the fight to end Alzheimer's disease.
Team Captain Note:
I lost my mother to early onset Alzheimer's disease in 2004. She was diagnosed at age 55 and lost her battle 10 years later. When she died, we lost not just a mother, but also a beloved grandmother, wife, sister, daughter, tutor, librarian, caregiver, mentor, accountant, master cookie-maker, animal lover and friend. Her grandchildren were graced with only a fracture of her true nature. They never got to know how funny she was, or challenge her in charades, or learn from her sage advice, or eat waffles with her for dinner, or blaze new trails with her. They missed the warmth of her snuggles and sharing endless giggles together. They missed out on the wisdom and experiences and secrets that only she could offer.
Please join our team on Saturday, October 13, 2018 as we walk to raise awareness about and support for finding a cure for this devastating disease. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
We can end Alzheimer's and keep memories growing through our combined donations and taking one step at a time, together.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
UPDATE: You may pick up your registration wristband from me on Friday, October 12 between 8:30-10:00a.m. in the Wells Fargo Atrium (201 S Tryon St).
On Saturday, please meet me between 9:00-9:45 in Romare Bearden Park at the corner of S Mint St and MLK. I'll give out remaining wristbands and let you know where to sit in the stadium. You'll spot me on the corner with a red sign with our team name on it.
Thanks again and see you soon!
