Raegan's Walk Donation Page
Hi, my name is Raegan Samm I am a Sophomore at the University of Missouri and a member of Sigma Kappa. A big part of our philanthropy is raising money for Alzheimer's research. Last year my chapter raised $69,000 that's more than any other chapter in the nation!! Our goal this year is to raise $100,000. Even if it's just a few dollars everything helps!
I have a personal connection with Alzheimer's. When I was in seventh grade my great grandmother passed away due to Alzheimer's. Since I was so young I didn't really understand what was going on. However, I saw how much pain the rest of my family went through throughout the course of her disease. Alzheimer's took my great grandmother away from me and the rest of my family and it continues to affect thousands of others.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
