Lindsey's Walk Donation Page
I am walking for my Grandma who just lost her 11 year battle to Alzheimer's on August 7th, 2018. She fought the effects of Alzheimer's until the very end and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to watch.
I am walking for the primary caregivers like my Grandpa who so lovingly devoted all of his time to take care of my Grandma.
I am walking for other loved ones who have lost their battle with Alzheimer's or who are just starting their battle with Alzheimer's.
I am walking for the family members of friends who are also battling Alzheimer's.
And finally I am walking to find a cure!!
I have so much to be walking for and I'm passionate about and dedicated to finding a cure for this horrible disease. For the past several years I have participated in the walk with my family and I was fortunate enough to be able to join Sigma Kappa, the top fundraising chapter in the nation for the past 5 years. I am so happy to be apart of a chapter that is doing something about this awful disease in hopes to one day put an end to Alzheimer's. This year I will once again be walking with my sorority sisters that also have their own stories about why they are so passionate to find a cure for this terrible disease.
If you're able to support me as I walk to find a cure, I appreciate your donation and thank you! I'd also love to have you walk with me on October 14th if you're available. Every year I've carried a Yellow Promise Garden Flower to represent my support of my Grandma battling Alzheimer's disease. This will, unfortunately, be my first year to carry a Purple Promise Garden Flower in remembrance of my Grandma who lost her battle to Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
