I'm currently a at Mizzou, and a member of Sigma Kappa. Alzheimer's has always been near and dear to my heart, as it effects both sides of my family. With it being said to be genetic that is a super scary thing for my family. I've seen so many of my other sisters being affected by this awful disease, and it is truly heartbreaking. It is the 6th leading cause of death, and the only disease in the top 10 to not have a cure or any way to slow the progression of it.
It's such an awful thing to see when someone you love begins to forget how to normally function, forget who you are, and slowly but surely forget who they are.
At Sigma Kappa it is our goal to change that. Even the littlest amount of $5 means the world and makes such a difference. Skip your Starbucks for a day, or don't go to the drive through on your way home from work. I started my fundraising by making a $10 donation and I hope you all will consider that too!Thank you for joining the movement!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
