Hannia's Walk Donation Page
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
My father passed away in January of 2016 at the age of 86, after a long, slow decline through the horrors of this disease. He was otherwise in excellent physical health; Alzheimer's disease robbed him of what should have been a peaceful, fulfilling season in his life.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's disease on Sunday September 16, 2018, at Holyoke Community College. This is my second year participating in the walk. I'm grateful to connect with others that have been affected by Alzheimer's in the lives of loved ones, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to try to raise some badly needed dollars to help advance research toward a CURE.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
