Jessica's Walk Donation Page
My story is pretty simple. I lost the most influential man in my life, my Papa, in February 2016 to Alzheimer's. Thomas Shea was an American hero; having served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Weber as a radar operator. Papa was always present at my big moments; dance recitals, softball games, birthdays, but more importantly, he was always present during little, quiet moments as well. He was a kind and loving man who always put his family first, and it is difficult for me to imagine a life without him. I am participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's so that little girls everywhere have more time to spend with their grandparents in those small, everyday moments.
The fight to end Alzheimer's disease is everyone's responsibility. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. Please consider making a donation to my team, or perhaps creating your own team. Together, we are stronger.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
