Lisa's Walk Donation Page
I'd like to put a face (one of many that I have had the pleasure and blessing to care and love) to those who Alzheimer's has taking away....
With the family's permission I dedicate my walk this year to this amazing lady. She raised a beautiful family and had a career in education. She loved gardening...I was able to see this when she first came to Sunrise Senior Living as she and I tending to the plants on the patio. She would meticulously pick every dead leaf off each plant. She loved music... too! When she was still able to walk on her own we could coax her to dance at most of our "socials". Her smile warmed my heart. When she could no longer speak clearly...I could still mention her daughter's names to her and she would smile as if she understood. (I'm sure she did) Her daughter's became my friends...they have their Mother's smile and laugh. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family...thank you for allowing me to love your mom like I did my own mom. She will forever have a very special place in my heart.
God has truly blessed me by allowing me to serve, care and love so many wonderful people!
Please consider making a donation towards My Walk to End Alzheimer’s it is this Saturday September 29th.
Thank you to all of my friends and family who have already donated! I love you all!
Year 4 and I'm still walking! Last year you blessed me with your love and support in raising awareness in the Fight To End Alzheimer's!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
7 1/2 years ago I decided to get involved in working with Seniors. It had always been something I felt a calling for. I had no idea that this was the beginning of a much bigger journey!
My involvement with those who suffer from Alzheimer's and their family members has become my passion.
I am humbled by the presence of these wonderful people..they have amazing life stories. They were Doctors, Nurses, Engineers, Pilots, Scientists, Artists, Mothers, Fathers and Veterans. The list goes on...
I'm sure all of you know someone or have met someone who is effected by this disease. It is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. It cannot be prevented, cured or slowed. WE need to STOP this!!!
I'm reaching out to YOU, my family and friends to help support me in my Walk To End Alzheimer's 2018. Your donations really make a difference!!!
God Bless all of you.
With gratitude and Love!!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
