Carolina's Walk Donation Page
And now it's 2...... August 28th my mother was diagnosed with a mild form of Dementia, Alzheimer's. My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's many years ago and is now in the moderate stage. Over the last few month things have been slowly changing and caring for them has become a bit of a challenge. There is a war going on within my soul. I feel blessed and grateful for the opportunity to care for them yet angry at this disease that has been put before me. Many of you may have someone you love or care about with the awful disease, so you might be able to empathize with my, at times, feeling helpless. This is sucking the life out of my mother. I can't stand to see her like this. With the support of family, friends and the lovely group of people I have met through the Alzheimer's Association support groups I know I am not alone. In the past I have walked in honor of my father but this year I will be participating in "The Walk To End Alzheimer's" on November 3rd in Sedona in honor of my parents Maria and Rodolfo Gonzalez . Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. If you would like to donate please go to alz.org/walk and click on participant Carolina Gonzalez and donate today. Any amount is appreciated.
