Kelly's Walk Donation Page
I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
I walk for the person in my life who gave me life and showed me how to be a better person in this life. My mom is the most amazing woman I know and if you didn't know her, all you would need to do is look into her warm brown eyes and know everything would be ok. Her love for her family and friends went beyond just caring. Her compassion and trust and love for everyone was so sincere it made you want to be a better person to all you knew and all you would meet in the future to come.
My mom had fought this terrible disease for so many years and had lost her battle to this terrible disease November 19th 2015. More now than ever I know she is with me and all who walk and support this cause. We all need to do our part in our lives and give even if just a small piece to something bigger than ourselves to help and find a cure for this disease. Might be a mother, father, friend,or a brother or sister or someone on the street you think might have Alzheimers. We go through our day and go home not giving a second thought to those in the house next door needing a hand. The caregiver who needs a break or the patient who needs a smile and a book read to them. Something so small to us but so needed by them. I know family was everything to my mom. I look at all she had to miss in life, her granddaughters first dance at her wedding, her great grandchildren being born. Her granddaughter walking across the stage as she received her degree in Physical Therapy. Watching her other two grandchildren, one getting her associates and hard charging ahead to become a Paralegal. And the youngest joined the Navy and serving so proudly. My mom was such a huge advocate for my children and all her grandchildren that education was huge and we need it to succeed in life and to help others. So with all of this and more ..........
I ask you help me in this fight to raise money and find a cure for this terrible disease. My mom will always be my hero and she is always with me in everything I do. I love you mom and I will fight for you and I want you to know we all love you so very much and every step I take is for you on this day and all days to follow. Love You Mom
