Gayl's Walk Donation Page
My name is Gayl Howell and I am walking to support Alzheimer's research. I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Alzheimer's has touched our family many times. My maternal and paternal grandmothers, my father, and currently my father's sister, my Aunt Nancy, suffers from late stage Alzheimer's. It's incredibly ugly to watch the elegance, independence, and spirit of someone you love spiral into a dark void as the brain slowly becomes unable to make connections of memory and ultimately unable to remember how to swallow and breathe. A startling statistic is that every 66 seconds, someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's, that statistic alone should galvanize all of us to review our nutrition, our exercise routines, our water intake, and our support of Alzheimer's research. Please support in anyway you can, whether it's through educating yourself on the latest Alzheimer's research, or donating to the Alzheimer's foundation, it's all worthwhile and appreciated
Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
