Dear Family and Friends,
We are walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, we are committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. My mother Meg was one of those statistic. I lost her in 2012. I so miss her!
Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. Just a couple of weeks ago we lost another Toutle Valley neighbor, Milton Wheeler to this hideous disease. Milt is my brother-in-law. It is so difficult to see someone lose their memories and ability to engage in day-to-day conversations and activities.
Please come join our team the TOUTLE VALLEY FORGET-ME-NOTS on Saturday, SEPTEMBER 23, 2017 at Lake Sacajawea in Longview!
Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. Walk starts 9:00!
If you are unable to walk, it would be wonderful if you would please make a donation to the TOUTLE VALLEY FORGET-ME-NOTS to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with US!
