DID YOU KNOW? 
We offer several educational programs for families and individuals facing Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Funds raised through events such as the Coastal Virginia Walk go to support our mission-related objectives of support, care and research.  Upcoming programs

Take your passion for the Walk a step further and join our Walk planning committee. Members meet on a monthly basis to work strategically and meet goals to raise awareness and funds for our mission-related objectives of care, support and research. Committee Overview

Friday, May 9- Lunch Time Fundraiser Join the Memory Center Walk team as they serve up tasty lunch which includes chips and a drink for $5! All donations benefit their Walk efforts. For more info, contact Kat, 757.412.1180.

Wednesday, May 24- Team Captain Workshop- Do you know what it means to be a Walk to End Alzheimer's team captain? Team captains help to lead the way in increasing concern and awareness and raising funds. Learn best practices from chapter staff, seasoned captains and other volunteers. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. RSVP to sevawalkhelp@alz.org by May 22.
Commonwealth at Georgian Manor, 651 River Walk Parkway, Chesapeake. 2:30 pm. 

Thursday, July TBD- Walk Team Supplies Grab and Go- Swing through and pick up supplies to help you in your fundraising including forget me not pin ups, bracelets, donation cans/boxes, rack cards, and car raffle tickets. Light refreshments provided.

Tuesday, Aug 29- Bank Day- Bank your bucks means come bring us your collected donations. We want to ensure that we have enough time to process your offline donations of checks and cash so you can see your numers rise online.  This will be the last day where you can turn in funds and see them posted online BEFORE Walk day. Donations taken in on Walk day can take up to 3 weeks to post.  For more info, contact Sherry at 757.459.2405.

Tuesday, Sept 19 and Wednesday, Sept 20- Walk Swag & Sponsor Packet Pick Up-  Skip the lines on Walk day and come pick up your Walk swag. Earned a tee shirt, champions medal or other incentive? These days are the days to pick it up. Sponsors who get the benefit of table space at Walk can come and pick up their sponsor packet which will include an event map, table space within park, load in & load out times, parking, etc. For more info, contact Jenn at 757.793.5064.

Thursday, Nov 2- Post Walk Thank You Party- Join your Coastal VA Walk committee and one of our Presenting Walk Sponsors as we gather to celebrate your efforts for the 2017 season! We will recognize top teams, top fundraisers, champions and grand champions, best dressed, most spirited ,etc teams at this event. Food and beverages will be provided. RSVP by Oct 23 to Vera Morgan, Director of Admissions, 757.495.4211
