For 33 years, Sigma Kappa has been partnered with the Alzheimer's Association in the fight to end Alzheimer's disease. Sigma Kappa is the first sorority to recognize the need for a more comprehensive study of aging and the needs of the elderly population in the community. In 1984 Sigma Kappa decided to place an emphasis on the 6th leading cause of death that affects so many sisters and their families, Alzheimer's Disease. Each year, Sigma Kappa chapters across the country participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's.
Sigma Kappa Delta Rho has been the second highest fundraising chapter in the nation for the past two years, and top five in the past five years. We know that the majority of people either have Alzheimer's or are affected by Alzheimer's in some way. This is why it means so much to us.
As the Vice President of Philanthropic Service for Sigma Kappa, I know how much it means to the entire chapter that we reach our goal. After working with the Alzheimer's Association for years, they've become family to us, always pushing us to do better and reminding us why our efforts are so important. Everyone involved is working hard to try to create a brighter future.
Please consider donating to our walk page. Your donation will not go to waste.
