Michele's Walk Donation Page
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050.
My mother, Sophie "Zosia" Chroscielewski Unger developed Alzheimer's at a young age, and in a short time no longer knew her children and lost the ability to care for herself. As the youngest, I have been left to wonder these many decades what it would have been like to grow up with a mother who was well, and to have her fully participate in our lives as we all grew up and had families of our own. Instead of years of memories, we have only imagining and wishing. I have joined this walk and am captaining a team, so that one day no one will have to lose a loved one to Alzheimer's as we did.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
