Cathy's Walk Donation Page
Have you ever had a moment where you forgot something important? Or the name of someone you just met? Individuals suffering from Dementia or Alzheimer’s disease often are left with little of their memories – the people they love, the events of their lives and even how to do the everyday tasks you and I take for granted. They are often overwhelmed by confusion about the things they do remember. It is a disease that runs in families, in my husband’s case 4 members of his parent’s generation. It is a disease that affects 60% more women than men, I have 4 daughters. As my husband and I care for his mother and experience this disease personally, I am more and more adamant that a cure or treatment needs to found so that future generations – my daughters and grandchildren will not experience this incredible awful disease any more than they already have.
The Walk to End Alzheimer's is an event in Philadelphia on November 12th. The message of the walk is one of hope and support for those affected by the disease and raises money to fund research and programs to help families as they deal with this difficult disease. Please support me in this walk by making a donation thru my web page or if you like join my team and walk with us!I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
