Nicole's Walk Donation Page
Both of my grandmothers have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and in March 2016, after 12 years with Alzheimer's my grandma Jennie passed. It is hard sometimes to remember life before my grandmas had Alzheimer's but we must remember that our loved ones and those that are currently fighting are not defined by this disease.
I walk for my Grandma Jennie. She was an amazing baker and loved to talk to everyone and anyone.
I walk for my Grandma Dolores. She is still currently fighting. As a mother of five and an Air Force wife, she is as strong willed as they come. She loved to travel, read and spend time with friends and family.
I walk for my Grandpa who has watched his wife, best friend and travel buddy deteriorate before his eyes. She fights him tooth and nail daily over the simplest tasks but he perseveres and I admire him so much.
I walk for the more than 15 million caregivers that spend over 18.1 billion unpaid hours caring for a loved one.
Let us come together on October 07, 2017 to raise awareness and fight back to help find a cure. Let us create HOPE FOR more MEMORIES!
