On May 2, 2017 my dad Steve Johnson put out his thumb for his great and final ride. Early onset Alzheimer's took away many things in the last several years: his license to drive, his freedom to walk on his own, the ability to care for himself, his memories, his future.
In 2015 I did the Alzheimer's Walk to raise money to find a cure for this brutal disease and raised over 3K - far exceeding my original modest goal. This year to honor his memory I've created a team and have several wonderful friends and family walking and fundraising with me and we are thrilled to have raised over 4K so far! But every donation counts and if you'd like to give, we'll be proud to have you on our virtual team on September 17th.
Our team is named after this beloved picture of my dad and my mom (seated) and our dear family friends Johanna and Cathy taken in the early 70s.
If you're With Steve please let me know if you want to join the team or please donate. Thank you so much - let's cure Alzheimer's so no one else has to lose what my dad did, and what so many of us have lost with his death.
Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. So are we. Join our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
