Amy's Walk Donation Page
On May 2nd this year my dad Steve lost his battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was only 70 years old. While I am relieved that he is now at peace and no longer suffering, I miss his laugh and his silliness every day. My dad was bright, funny, boisterous, loud and adventurous. In the last years of his life he was subdued, quiet, withdrawn and prone to angry outbursts. He was bedridden in his final weeks and in his final months did not recognize his loved ones.
The goal of the Walk to End Alzheimer's is to raise funds to make sure that one day soon a cure can be found for this brutal disease and no one else has to suffer the losses and indignity that my dad did. That no more families have to feel the deep grief for a loved one the way those of us who knew and loved Steve have experienced.
I hope you will consider making a donation to my Walk to honor my dad and to help insure that part of his legacy includes the end to Alzheimer's.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
