LeeAnn's Walk Donation Page
I'm walking, because in 2013, my father was given the diagnosis of dementia (probable Alzheimer's disease). In that moment and the years that have followed, I have seen what a terrible and cruel disease Alzheimer's truly is and I have chosen to take a stand. I have participated in fundraising events since 2013 to help raise awareness and help fund research and support.
Currently more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. If you have ever seen someone face this illness and seen the heartbreak that it brings the family, you would know that you would never want your own children or anyone else to ever feel this kind of pain.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease the Association offers care education support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
