Ann's Walk Donation Page
This is a personal walk for me. I'm walking in honor of my mother, Mitzi Greenwood, who was diagnosed with ALZ two years ago. Both her parents, my grandparents, died of ALZ.
I demand we have a cure for this disease within the next 5 years so I won't lose family members or friends to ALZ, and my nieces and nephew won't have to be caregivers or experience the disease themselves.
I'm participating in this walk as a warrior against Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. More people die from ALZ than breast cancer and prostate cancer COMBINED. Since 2000, deaths from heart disease have decreased by 14% while deaths from ALZ have increased by 89%. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Be a warrior with me and join the fight against Alzheimer's!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
