This year I am walking in memory of my mom, Doris Greebler Rosenberg, who passed away very recently. Mom was just the happiest, easy going woman you could imagine. This made it especially hard to watch the sad decline of Alzheimer's.
I'm also walking to help reclaim the future for millions affected by Alzheimer's and dementia. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Our community is fortunate to have a local chapter that provides invaluable support services to those suffering from this disease and their caregivers. I will walk to support these services, as well as to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's disease. Together we can advance research to treat and prevent Alzheimer's, and provide programs to improve the lives of millions of affected Americans.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
