Ann's Walk Donation Page
My husband, Fletcher, has been struggling with dementia for several years. It is incredibly discouraging to watch someone decline and know that there is no way to stop it. One bit of sunshine is recently there have been some encouraging results in the search for treatment and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
The results of this research may not come in time to help Fletcher. But with currently more than 5 million Americans who have Alzheimer's or related dementias and the 16 million expected to be affected by 2050, we need to support this important research now.
Caregiving for someone with this awful disease can be hugely disheartening. Doing this one thing for Fletcher and all those who suffer with dementia, lightens the load a tiny bit. Please help me and make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
