Jennifer's Walk Donation Page
Here is a picture of Dave and I last year at our walk in St. Charles. If you would like to join our team, we would love to have you. Last year our goal was to raise $10,000.00 and we raised just about $11,000.00 for this important cause. So this year we set our goal at $11,000.00 and we are hoping to beat that. As the Director of a Memory Care unit, I have seen the devastation that this disease causes to those afflicted with it and to the family members that are experiencing it. I am raising money and walking in their honor and in memory of those that we have lost.
Wouldn't it be great to be around when it is announced that there is a cure for Alzheimer's? Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. I am hoping that I will be around to see the first person that has been cured by this disease. I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's! And if you would like to be a part of a very inspirational day, I ask that you join us at Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles on September 22 at 10:00am.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
