We are thrilled to launch the “Quest to Success” challenge to help you kickstart your fundraising for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s!
Step 1: Start your quest by raising or donating $50 between June 10-23. Earn a branded Walk to End Alzheimer’s ‘Anywhere Belt Bag’! Here are some ideas: Self donate $25 (every bit helps), or share your story on social media and ask for support.
Step 2: Keep going! Raise another $50 to earn the exclusive event day t-shirt. With $100 raised, you’ll help create a sea of purple on Walk day and spread awareness.
Step 3: Celebrate raising $100 by inviting 3 friends to join your team. Each person that joins and raises $50 will also earn the ‘Anywhere Belt Bag’.
BONUS: Aim high and reach the $300 incentive level to secure more rewards! Your dedication brings us closer to a world without Alzheimer's.
Want to have your t-shirt in time to wear on this year's walk day and show your Purple Passion? Registered Participants must reach their $100 t-shirt minimum by 08-31-24 in order to receive their shirt in the mail PRIOR to our Southwest Suburban Event. Walk shirts are NOT available for pick-up day of event. Registered Participants who reach their $100 t-shirt minimum after this deadline has passed will receive their shirt in monthly mailings following the walk event as all walk fundraising efforts continue through the end of the current calendar year.
The land on which the Walk to End Alzheimer's - Southwest Suburban will take place on includes the traditional homelands of the Peoria, Potawatomi, Miami, Oglala Sioux, Kaskaskia, and Kickapoo Nations. By acknowledging the land, we recognize that it holds significance for its original stewards: the Native Nations and peoples of the region. We acknowledge the ground on which our Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place on so that all who work and partner with us know that we recognize our responsibilities to the peoples of that land and that we strive to address that history so that it guides our work in the present and the future. The Alzheimer's Association recognizes the importance of remembering which is why we remember and honor the original stewards of the lands we Walk to End Alzheimer's on. If you believe a Nation is missing from this list, please contact Amelia Garza, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, at amgarza@alz.org.
