I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
I am walking in honor of my wonderful Dad, who shows strength and courage every day, living with this horrific disease , and with much gratitude to his significant other whom helps him everyday. She is keeping him, engaged in life, happy, and safe. If I was alone in this battle, it would be impossible. My team is strong, and we have a common goal.
The money collected will never benefit my Dad, but with stem cell research, it may help find a cure for this fatal disease
I walk for others who may not be able.
I walk because, this is heredity,
I worry for myself, and my sisters. I also have children, grandchildren, neices, and a nephew, who I never want to encounter this first hand.
I walk because it affords me some stress relief, and it diverts my thinking, from the sadness I feel.
Right now, once you receive the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, there is no way to stop or slow its progression. There is no hope for surviving, but that can change.
