About ALZ Stars

Founded in 2010, the Alzheimer’s Association ALZ Stars® program created an opportunity for runners, cyclists, swimmers and triathletes to test their limits while pursuing progress in Alzheimer’s care, support and research locally and nationwide. ALZ Stars go the distance in the fight against Alzheimer's disease, increasing awareness and inspiring others to take action.

As an ALZ Star, you will have access to training and fundraising support and, most importantly, you will join a community determined to leave its mark in the fight against Alzheimer’s. On your journey to the finish line, share your story, your progress and your achievements with family and friends and encourage them to join you in the ALZ Stars movement.

Take the first step to a world without Alzheimer’s by signing up today. Once you register, you will have access to a wide range of tools and support through your Participant Center, ensuring a successful and fulfilling experience.

Advance the fight against Alzheimer's disease! Support an athlete with a donation. The funds raised through the ALZ Stars program benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. We strive to:

  • Help families across the country by continuing to provide and enhance programs focusing on education and support.
  • Advance critical research studies into methods of treatment, prevention and ultimately, a cure.
  • Speak up for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s through our public policy initiatives.

A donor-supported organization, the Alzheimer's Association allocates its funds in an ethical and responsible manner that exceeds the rigorous standards of America’s most experienced charity evaluator, the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance.
