Why I Ride: My family is coping with the reality that my wonderful father is battling Alzheimer's. That's him in the picture with baby me - he loves to tell me about how the minute I was born, he loved me completely and with his whole heart.
My dad is truly a force to be reckoned with - brilliant, hilarious, curious and always learning, active, kind and generous. He has lived a life of adventure, he showed the world to my brothers and me, he gave us a great education. Dinner table conversations involved deep dives into politics, history, literature, and college football. He is a loving father and husband and a doting grandfather. He's doing well right now, but the path ahead is scary to think about. I know so many of you have been touched by this awful disease as well.
I signed up to participate in a ride to raise funds for Alzheimer's research - I'll be riding 75 miles on June 9 in the Ride to End ALZ. I would be so grateful for your support - every bit helps.
Thank you for supporting this cause and for cheering me on. \u2764\ufe0f
