Memory Movie Marathon
Our Team Story
"A long time ago..."
So begins the opening of 'Star Wars' as it transports us to another galaxy. Movies launch us into other worlds, share innumerable stories, and allow us to glimpse lives we otherwise couldn't imagine. This is the power of film.
Our harnesses this power of the cinema to help fight Alzheimer's disease on The Longest Day (June 21, 2019). We will spend the day at a local movie theater, watching films from open to close, back-to-back, all day long. We do this to raise awareness and engage as many people as possible in the fight against Alzheimer's. Everyone can relate to movies; memories they evoke; dreams they inspire; ideas they spark. We are harnessing this magic of film to generate funds for Alzheimer's Association programs and research!
Over 5.7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's, the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. In Arizona, those numbers are even more staggering, as it is the fourth leading cause of death -- a true public health crisis! We must act NOW!
Join us in this fight! Make a donation, share this link on social media, ask friends and family. Every action, every donation, every share helps get us closer to finding Alzheimer's FIRST SURVIVOR!
