is fundraising to honor:
On June 21, I'm doing what I love to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. I’m participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
My father, Ernest Salter died of Alzheimer's related complications in 2003, and my sisters Mary and Martha were his primary caregivers. I and my husband Sean have become primary caregivers for his mother, Sandy Donnelly since 2013. Both my husband and I have experienced firsthand the struggle of being a caregiver, and we also have an increased chance of developing some sort of dementia ourselves.
This Longest Day we are getting out and being active to not only raise money but to help raise awareness of dementia prevention!
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
The Power of a Donation
