is fundraising to honor:
All those facing Alzheimer's
On June 21, we're doing what we love, KNITTING, to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. We are participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease.
On June 21, we will also be knitting "twiddle muffs" to donate to a local Alzheimer's care unit. These muffs will provide tactile stimulation which is very important to AZ care. To participate, come into the store any time between 10am-6pm, bring your own machine wash/dry scrap yarn, buttons, and size 15 needles. You can start your own muff or finish one up, all the work will be donated. Thank you!
