is fundraising to honor:
On Saturday, June 1, my family and I, along with my "Needham Goes Purple" teammates and friends, will be participating in “The Longest Day ”, an annual fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association. This year, we again aspire to raise $50,000 and we ask for your generous support. "The Longest Day" symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with, and those caring for a person with Alzheimer’s Disease. We are participating in honor of our loved ones by running fully-funded lemonade stands across town because after all, “When life gives you Alzheimer’s, MAKE LEMONADE!”
This cause is very personal for me as my beautiful mother has Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. The disease does not discriminate. In the United States alone, 5.7 million people are afflicted by the disease, and it is the 6th leading cause of death. One in ten (10%!) people will develop Alzheimer's Disease by the time they are 65 years old. Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's Disease that they are not alone; we can also change the future of Alzheimer's Disease. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research and provide care and support to those facing the disease today.
If you live locally, please also stop by our stand, located at Roche Bros. on Chestnut Street, for a refreshing cup of lemonade between 9 AM and 1 PM on Saturday, June 1.
Your support means more than words can express.
